I provide
counselling and psychotherapy for individuals accessing support through the Victorian
Redress Scheme. If you are an eligible participant in the
Victorian Redress Scheme, you are welcome to get in touch to find
out more about how the Redress Counselling process works.
Once contact has been made, I can apply to offer up to 20 sessions of fully
funded counselling/psychotherapy through the scheme. Sessions can be held
weekly or fortnightly and used in whatever way feels most helpful to you. Some
participants value an open-ended space to talk through their experiences, while
others seek more focused support for specific trauma-related concerns. For
many, having a regular, ongoing space for reflection alongside an attentive
listener brings a sense of relief amid much uncertainty.
From the
Victorian Redress website:
“Redress for
Historical Institutional Abuse is for people who experienced physical,
emotional or psychological abuse and neglect as children in institutional
settings in Victoria before 1990.”
“If you are
eligible for Redress, you can access a counselling service, which will:
include up to 20 sessions.
be delivered by qualified
professionals, such as psychologists, mental health practitioners.
include counselling, group work,
alternative therapies (limited) and cultural healing for First Peoples.”
